The website (hereafter referred to interchangeably as “the Site” or “domain”)www.srcc.eduis hosted and owned by Shri Ram College of College (hereafter referred to interchangeably as “the Host”or “the College”).

The user (defined in the “Website Terms of Use”) is expected to have reviewed and read the following policies pertaining to the use, including access of, and/or downloading of informationfrom, the website. These “Website policies” form a part of “Website Terms of Use”

A. COPYRIGHT POLICY

A.1. No part of the Site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means unless otherwise indicated or through explicit consent of the Host.

A.2.Material featured on this website may be reproduced post consent of the Host. However, even post consent, the material has to be reproduced accurately and not to be used in a derogatory manner or in a misleading context. Wherever the material is being published or issued to others, the source must be prominently acknowledged. However, the permission to reproduce this material shall not extend to any material which is identified as being copyright of a third party. Authorisation to reproduce such material must be obtained from the department/copyright holder concerned.

B. CONTENT POLICY

B.1.Though all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy and currency of the content on this website, the same should not be construed as a statement of law or used for any legal purposes. In case of any ambiguity or doubts, users are advised to verify/check with the Principal’s Office and/or other source(s), and to obtain appropriate professional advice.

B.2.Under no circumstances will the Host be liable for any expense, loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any expense, loss or damage whatsoever arising from use, or loss of use, of data, arising out of or in connection with the use of this website.

C. CONTENT CONTRIBUTION, MODERATION & APPROVAL (CMAP) POLICY

The website (www.srcc.edu) of Shri Ram College of Commerce represents the website of a single College consisting of various constituents where most content is contributed by a set of sources. We hereby adopt a 3-tiered structure to implement CMAP requiring minimum 2 officials to execute the CMAP roles, viz.,

  • Contributor-Individual and/or group of constituent units

  • Moderator/Approver- The Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce or any official to whom such powers have been delegated by the Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce.

  • Content Uploader-The Computer Centre, Shri Ram College of Commerce

D. CONTENT ARCHIVAL POLICY (CAP)

D.1.General sections of the website will be online archived automatically after entering 5th year from the date of their publishing. Certain sections, as defined with the Computer Centre, Shri Ram College of Commerce may be archived after shorter duration.

D.2.The Computer Centre, Shri Ram College of Commerce maintains online archives for a period of 5 years  to allow for the retrieval of content which has expired.

D.3.Content which has been withdrawn, or discontinued, or have exceeded 3 years after archiving, may be expunged.

E. CONTENT REVIEW POLICY

The website (www.srcc.edu) is the face of the College’s information.. This content Review Policy has been formulated to keep the content on the current and up-to-date. Since the type of the content on the website varies, different Review timelines are defined for the diverse content elements. This Review Policy is based on different types of content elements, their validity and relevance as well as the archival policy.

As a general rule, the entire website content shall be reviewed in a phased manner on an Annual Basis by a committee appointed by the Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce to ensure the currency of the content. The exception to the above is listed below:

F. COOKIES POLICY

G.1. Links to external websites/portals

At many places on this Site, the user shall find links to other websites/portals. These links have been placed for the user’s convenience. Shri Ram College of Commerce is not responsible for the contents of the linked websites and does not endorse the views expressed in them. Mere presence of the link or its listing on this website should not be assumed as endorsement of any kind. The Host does not guarantee that these links will work all the time and we have no control over availability of linked destinations.

When you select a link to an external website, you are leaving the College’s Site and are subject to the privacy and security policies of the owners/sponsors of the external website.

G.2. Links to College Website by other websites/portals

Prior permission is required before hyperlinks are directed from any website/portal to this site. Permission for the same, stating the nature of the content on the pages from where the link has to be given and the exact language of the hyperlink should be obtained from the Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce. Also, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. The page(s) belonging to this website must load into a newly opened browser window of the User.

H. PRIVACY POLICY

H.1. The Site does not automatically capture any specific personal information from the user (like name, phone number or e-mail address), that allows the Host to identify the user individually.

H.2. Personal Information, where sought from the user on specific webpages, is collected, stored and addressed to only with respect to the purpose to which the information was so provided by the user. If a user chooses to provide us with their personal information, like names or addresses, on visit to our website, we will use it only to fulfil your request for information. Information so collected is used to facilitate interaction as decided by the purpose.

H.3.We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information volunteered on this site to any third party (public/private). Any information provided to this website will be protected from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

J. SECURITY POLICY

J.1.The content contributed by/from remote locations is duly authenticated & is not published on the production server directly.

J.2.Any content contributed has to go through the moderation process before final publishing to the College’s server.

J.3.All contents of the web pages are checked for intentional or unintentional malicious content before final upload to web server pages.

J.4.Audit and Log of all activities involving the operating system, access to the system, and access to applications are maintained and archived. All rejected accesses and services are logged and listed in exception reports for further scrutiny.

J.5. The Computer Centre, SRCC monitor the website periodically to check the web pages to confirm that the web pages are up and running, that no unauthorized changes have been made, and that no unauthorized links have been established.

J.6.All newly released system software patches; bug fixes and upgrades are expediently and regularly reviewed and installed on the web server.

J.7. On Production web servers, Internet browsing, mail and any other desktop applications are disabled. Only server administration related task is performed.

J.8. The Computer Centre, SRCC hasbeen designated as Administrator for the and shall be responsible for implementing this policy for each of the web servers.
