Students' Union
The object of the Students Union is to foster social and intellectual activity among the students of the College; to develop in them power of expression and public speaking and to impart to them training in the working of democratic and parliamentary institutions.
The Students’ Union functions under the guidance of the Faculty Advisor. It has elected and nominated office bearers.
Students' Societies
The college has nine Students’ Societies. All Students’ Societies functions under the guidance of their individual Faculty Advisors. Each Students’ Society has its elected/nominated office bearers.
Commerce Society
The object of Commerce Society is to foster social and intellectual activity among the students and, in particular, to develop in them interest in the study of Commerce and Economics. For this purpose it arranges talks, lectures, group discussions, essay competitions, seminars, conferences, and the like, relating to the two disciplines.
Economics Society
The object of Economics Society is to foster social and intellectual activity among students, and in particular, to develop in them interest in the study of Economics. For this purpose, it arranges tables, lectures, group discussions, essay competitions, seminars, symposia, conferences and the like relating to the discipline.
Hindi Sahitya Sabha
English Literary Society
The object of English Literary Society is to foster social and intellectual activity among the students of the College and, in particular, to create interest in English Language and Literature. For this purpose, it organises in English, Poetry Essay, Short-Story, and General Knowledge Competitions, Elocution and Declamation Contests, Poetic Symposia, Talks, Lectures, Conferences, Symposia, Seminars and the like.
Fine Arts Society
The object of Fine Arts Society is to foster social and cultural activity among the students of the College and, in particular, to create interest in and develop taste and aptitude for Music, Dancing, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and any other Fine Art. For this purpose, it organises Talks, Lectures, Exhibitions, Performances, Collage, Sketching, Painting and Music Competitions, and the like.
History and Political Science Society
The object of History and Political Science Society is to foster social and intellectual activity among the students of the College and, in particular, to develop interest in the knowledge and study of History and Political Science, and national and international politics. . For this purpose, it organises Talks, Lectures, Essay Competitions, Group Discussions, Seminars, Conferences, and the like.
Dramatic Society
The object of Dramatic Society is to foster social and intellectual activity among the students and to create interest in and encourage talent for Drama and Theatre. For this purpose, it organises full-length and One-act Plays, Mono-acting performances, Competitions, Talks, Lectures, Symposia, Conferences and the like relating to its field.
Debating Society
The object of Debating Society to foster social and intellectual activity among the students of the College and, in particular, to stimulate their interest in and to develop their skill for debating and public speaking. For this purpose, the Society organises Talks, Lectures, Debates, Debating Classes, Seminars, Conferences and the like.
Computer & Mathematics Society
The object of Computer & Mathematics Society is to foster social and intellectual activity among the students of the College and, in particular, to develop in them interest in computers and learning of Mathematics and use of both problem solving in Commerce & Economics. For this purpose the Society organises Talks, Lectures, Seminars, Symposia, Conferences, Computer Games, Quiz Competitions, Intelligence Tests, and the like
Winter Festival
The Students’ Union and Students’ Societies every year organizes a grand winter festival – “CROSSROADS”. It is one of the most popular students’ festivals in the University. Spread over a few days in December, an overwhelming participation across the students’ fraternity of the University is seen in the CROSSROADS. The Crossroads provides students with a platform to show their talents and creativity.
Fashion Show, Choreography, Rock Show, Pop Nite, War of the DJs are some prominent functions organized by the Students’ Union. Winning teams and participants are given fabulous prizes.
At the same time, the other Students’ Societies also organizes their individual functions and events during the CROSSROADS.
Events like Crosswords, Puzzles, Quizes, Seminars, Treasure Hunt are some prominent functions of the Commerce Society. While the Economics Society organizes their grand festival ‘ECOSTASY’ comprising a number of shows, events, debates etc. The debates from the Debating Society offer opportunities to the students to express their views on given subjects. The plays staged by Dramatics Society are fabulous. Similarly, English Literary Society, Fine Arts Society, Hindi Sahitya Sabha, Computer & Mathematics Society, History & Political Science Society also organizes similar types of shows, events, and debates touching upon the objectives of their society.
Apart from providing a constructive outlet for the imagination and creativity of the students, the Crossroads also allows students to display their organization and management skills.
National Service Scheme (NSS)
The college has a unit of NSS. It functions under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
The NSS unit of the College provides a platform to the students and faculty for community work. A variety of activities are organized every year to channelise the energy and idealism of the younger generation into creative pursuits.
The NSS wing organizes activities like, Blood Donation Camps, Literacy Classes for children of weaker sections, Leadership workshops, Summer Camps, National awareness programmes, “Shramdaan” etc.
