Events and Activities
Visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan
The History and Political Science Society (HPS), organized an official visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the heart and soul of the Indian democracy for the UPSC Cell students on January 17, 2016.
Model United Nations
On February 07, the society organized the 4th edition of Shri Ram Model United Nations. This year SRMUN witnessed a grand debate among different delegates representing different countries. Human Rights Commission had the most number of delegates among the six other committees in actuality.
Odyssey
Odyssey, the annual festival, of the HPS, celebrates the spirit of eternal history and the dynamic polity of the world. The theme of the Odyssey’16 was ‘The Changing Face of Indian Society’.
The inauguration took place on February 18 by Mrs. Sheila Dixit, the former Chief Minister of New Delhi along with Mr. Manish Tewari, the former Information and Broadcasting Minister. Social reformer and actor Mr. Varun Pruthi also made a motivational speech. Mr. Mihir Sharma, the opinion editor of Business Standard also shared his views. Mr. Paresh Gupta, famous entrepreneur inspired everyone by his achievements on February 19. The Festival also had events like Globetrotter, Blue-Blooded, IPL auction, Event Slogger and Treasure Hunt.
