Shri Ram College of Commerce has a history of setting standards, be it in academics, sports or performing arts.

The College has grown in stature over the years and remains the most sought after institution dedicated to Commerce and Economics education in the country.

The College integrates innovative ways of teaching and learning, extra-curricular activities and enhanced exposure  through collaboration with foreign universities in the pursuit of its vision of building a strong and prosperous nation. This year too, we welcome the brightest to join the SRCC fraternity to carry forward the legacy of this institution.

About the Chairman

Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman and Sr. Managing Director of DCM Shriram Limited has been heading the Shri Ram College of Commerce’s Governing Body since 2005 as its Chairman. Under his dynamic and progressive vision the college has achieved excellence in all fields.

Post his schooling from The Doon School, Dehradun, Shri Ajay S. Shriram obtained a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from Sydenham College, Bombay.  He attended various training & management development programmes in India & overseas and participated in the “Programme for Management Development” at the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. 

The distinguished offices that he has held in the past include President, CII (Confederation of Indian Industries); President & Chairman of International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFAI), Paris; Chairman, Agriculture Committee, (IFAI), Paris; Chairman, Fertilizer Association of India; Member, Asian Food & Agribusiness Advisory Board, Rabobank International; Member, Board of Governors, The Doon School, Dehradun; Member, Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow& Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. He is a trustee of SOS Children Villages of India and a Patron of Save the Children, India.

Shri Ajay S Shriram has consistently supported the College to upgrade its infrastructure and help create the necessary environment for academic excellence. As a result, many batches of students have benefited over the years and the institution has grown from strength to strength. The faculty and staff has always received support and encouragement from the Chairman to give their best, and this has helped in upholding the high standards that Shri Ram College is known for.
