Events and Activities
Udaan
A new pre event to the YC was held on September 14, 2015 which added a social cause perspective to the event. Students from the NGO “Karuna” visited the College. Fun filled activities were organised for them. The evening ended with the release of 120 sky lanterns signifying reaching out towards fulfilment of dreams and aspirations of every individual.
Youth Conference
The 4th Youth Conference with the theme “But the victor carries on” was organized from September 17-19, 2015.
Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’bl Minister of Home Affairs, inaugurated the Conference.
Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, then Congress Whip had an interactive session with the students.
Mr. Rahul Kanwal, Director, AajTak Television, and youngest person to lead a news channel recounted his journey to achieve what he desired.
Ms. Kalki Subramaniam, a transgender from Auroville, Chennai spoke about the difficulties faced by the third gender in the current society which sees them differently
Mr. Benny Prasad, world record holder for traveling 215 countries in the least time, shared his amazing life story.
Mr. Arunabh, founder of TVF, shared his story of starting the most promising comedy house in the country.
A Live Music Panel Discussion, The Rolling Tones, about the evolution of Music in India concluded the session. The panelists were Ms. Sona Mohapatra, Playback Singer Bollywood; Mr. Nikhil D’Souza, Playback Singer, Ms. Hard Kaur, Rapper; and Mr. Vijay Nair, Founder of OML and the Bacardi Weekender. The discussion was moderated by RJ Swati Singh from RedFM.
The second day started with Mr. Kaushal Mehtani, auditor of the big story who candidly shared his life story. This was followed by an interactive Session with Mr. Kapil Dev. Mr. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bollywood Unconventional Artist, was next.
Axis Bank CEO, Ms. Shikha Sharma talked about Banking in India and addressed questions regarding the power of women in India.
Mr. Vineeth Vincent, the best beatboxer of India shared an interesting set of experiences and also showed the audience his beat boxing skills.
Mr. Varun Agarwal, the most popular start up founder of India, addressed the audience next.
The event concluded with a Stand up Comedy Performances by Biswa Kalyan Rath and Abish Mathews
